Blick Law Firm Salutes Tampa Bay Rays
According to Mayor Bill Foster, today is known as “Rays Day”. As a way to celebrate a job well done a Tampa Bay Rays banner is displayed in front of City Hall to celebrate the team’s sensational push to the playoffs.
Wow. What a night last night as the Tampa Bay Rays held on for an unexpected win. Unbelievable. Tampa Bay had the greatest comeback in baseball history. The Rays came back from a 7-0 deficit against the Yankees to win 8-7 on an Evan Longoria home run in the 12th inning. What a win!
Tampa Bay Rays head to Texas as the American League wild-card winner with Game 1 of the AL division series scheduled for Friday.
The city is encouraging fans to represent Rays gear and businesses to put “Go Rays!” messages on their marquees. At Blick Law Firm, we are proud to support the Tampa Bay Rays and be a part of this miraculous part of baseball’s history.
City officials plan a rally before the first home game of the American League Division Series on Monday. Details to come.
Lets. Go. Rays.

Sinkhole blocks off Fletcher and Nebraska intersection
In Hillsborough County, officials have blocked off Fletcher and Nebraska in all directions due to a sinkhole. This 8 ft deep sinkhole will keep the intersection of Fletcher and Nebraska closed for Rush hour tonight.
Helping the hurting, and servicing your legal needs, Blick Law Firm will be here in the event this 8 foot deep, 6 feet wide in diameter sinkhole, has effected anyone in anyway. Sinkholes are depressions or holes in the land surface that are a common feature of Florida’s landscape. Although a common feature in Florida, it does not have to be a common occurrence in your list of problems. You have the right to an attorney!

Finding Tampa Bay’s most dangerous commuting spots
Article by Tampa Bay Business News
One morning, as I took the I-275 curve in downtown Tampa, and where lanes merge from the I-4 traffic, I narrowly escaped disaster when someone emerged from my blind spot.
That got me thinking about whether this frenetic location — which went through some massive re-engineering a number of years ago — was among the most dangerous in the Tampa Bay commute.
So, with the help of Editorial Intern Laura Cressman, we set out to analyze where area commuters should exercise the most caution during rush hours. Our story appears today in the print edition of the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
We also are making available to readers a searchable database of 141 points, searchable by roadway name, showing some very interesting data about incidents over two years, 2008 to 2010.
While fairly obvious, our reporting shows the biggest cause of crashes isn’t roadway design, but more human behavior, from texting to those chronically late to work trying to rush, eat and talk on the phone along the way.
So, take it easy out there!
